Putt Panic — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Putt Panic mobile game and web app ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here. The App is published by Christian App Creations.
Summary
- The App is playable without an account and does not ask for your name, email, or password.
- Your game progress and settings are stored on your device.
- We use Firebase (by Google) for anonymous sign-in, online leaderboards, multiplayer rooms, and usage analytics.
- In-app purchases, where offered, are processed by the Apple App Store / Google Play.
- If you send us a problem report, you can choose to attach a picture of the game screen or a photo from your device.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Stored on your device only
The following are saved locally and are not transmitted to us:
- Game progress: stars earned, hole best scores, campaign standings, daily login streak.
- Preferences: selected ball skin and trail, sound and vibration settings, chosen course theme.
- Tutorial completion and resume state.
This data is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its storage.
Collected when you use online features
Anonymous identity (Firebase Authentication). When you use online leaderboards or multiplayer, the App signs you in anonymously. This creates a random user identifier; it is not linked to your real identity, email, or social accounts.
Leaderboards (Firebase Realtime Database). If you submit a score, we store the score, the display name you choose, and the anonymous identifier. Your chosen display name is publicly visible to other players. Please do not use a display name that reveals personal information.
Multiplayer rooms and matchmaking (Firebase Realtime Database). When you create or join a room, we store transient gameplay state — the player names shown in the room, course layout, moves, and per-hole scores — so the match can be shared between players. This room data is temporary.
Usage analytics (Firebase Analytics). We collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the App is used — for example which game modes are played, hole completions, app opens, and in-app purchase events — together with standard device and app information (device model, OS version, app version, language, browser/user-agent string, approximate device memory, and approximate region derived from your IP address) and an app-instance identifier. This includes diagnostic events when the App fails to start or recovers from a crash, which help us fix stability problems. This information is not used to identify you personally.
Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics). On the iOS and Android apps, if the App crashes or hits an error we send a crash report so we can fix it. A report contains the error message and a technical stack trace of the code that failed (truncated), plus standard device and app information — device model, OS version and app version — and the anonymous identifier described above. It does not contain your display name, your saved progress, or the contents of anything you have typed. Crash reporting is not used on the web version.
Problem reports you send (“Submit Logs”). The App has a Submit Logs button you can use to report a problem. It is never automatic — nothing is sent unless you tap it. A report contains the hole and course you are on, recent in-game events, how the course was drawn on your device (technical rendering details we use to diagnose display problems), your device model, OS version and app version, and the anonymous identifier described above.
Optional picture attached to a report. When you send a report you may additionally choose “This Screen”, which attaches a picture of the game as it appears at that moment, or “Choose Photo”, which opens your device’s photo picker so you can attach a screenshot or photo you select. No picture is sent unless you pick one of those options, and the App only receives the single image you choose — it does not read your photo library. Please be aware that a picture may show whatever was on the screen, such as a display name you have chosen. Pictures are stored with the report in the Firebase Realtime Database and are used only to diagnose the problem you reported.
In-app purchases
Where in-app purchases are offered, they are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. Your purchase entitlement is held by the store and on your device so your purchases can be delivered and restored.
Apple Game Center (iOS, if enabled)
On iOS, scores may be mirrored to Apple Game Center. Information handled by Game Center is subject to Apple's privacy policy and your Game Center settings.
How we use information
- To provide core gameplay, save and restore progress, and run online leaderboards and multiplayer.
- To deliver, validate, and restore in-app purchases.
- To understand usage and improve the App's features, performance, and stability.
- To detect and prevent abuse, cheating, and technical problems.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Service providers
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Analytics, Crashlytics)
- Apple and Google (app distribution and payment processing)
Your choices
- Play offline: single-player modes work without submitting any data online.
- Display name: you choose what name (if any) appears on leaderboards.
- Analytics: you can limit ad/analytics identifiers through your device's privacy settings (iOS App Tracking Transparency / Limit Ad Tracking, Android Opt out of Ads Personalization).
- Delete local data: uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes data stored on your device.
- Leaderboard/online data: to request removal of a submitted entry, contact us below.
Data retention
Local data persists until you remove it. Leaderboard entries are retained to operate the leaderboards; multiplayer room data is transient and cleared after matches. Analytics data is retained according to our Firebase Analytics retention settings.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
Your information may be processed on servers operated by our service providers (including in the United States). By using the App you consent to this processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
